of APA13 in Saigon, Vietnam today
What a success the APA13 in Saigon, Vietnam, is proving to be! Exhibition visitors and conference delegates were arriving from 07:30 this morning to make an early start on hearing presentations and queueing for the exhibition.

We were fortunate to meet individuals such as: Dr Tao from Novus, which hosted one of the dominant stands on the show floor; Adrian Louyer of Olmix, France, who is stationed in Vietnam and is IAF's neighbour stand; Justin Tan, Teresa Zhang, Goncalo Santos and Pedro Encarnacao of Biomin, ask with a dominant stand; Dr Bernhard Eckel, vice president of Dr Eckel who was visiting; Josph Barbi of ESE; Joe Kearns of Wenger Manufacturing; Dr Roland Matyasi of Alltech (another large stand exhibitor) and who is moving from his company's China office to Bangkok for the New Year; Dr Yang Yong of Hinter Biotechnology, China; Dr Kabir Chowdhury of Jefo Nutrition Inc; Ross Dodd of AO1 and Andy Dilatush and Chuck Malone of Tyson Foods Inc to mention just a few.

With an over-arching theme of 'Positioning for Profit,' the two in-exhibition seminar rooms hosted three industry sessions for exhibition visitors throughout the day on Feeding for Profit and Marketing which included a range of short presentations looking at how Vietnam's fish farmers could become more profitable and grow their international markets. The session that took the attention of IAF was the later chaired by Roy Palmer of Australia and Nguyen Huu Dung of Vietnam and heard from David Hughes of the UK and Norman Grant of Australia on what Vietnam's producers could be doing to assist the image of their products abroad.

International Aquafeed was almost depleted of magazines by the end of the first day. Not only were there a number of feed producing companies attending, but a variety of visitors from throughout South East Asia including visitors from as far away as Australia and Iran.
