The Vietnamese government has recently commissioned a new project to build six new fishery logistic centres, which will assist local fishing grounds throughout the country. These logistics centres will provide the following services:
Services -
- Sea-Food Processing Plants
- Fisherman Training Centres
- Industrial Parks
- Trade Services
- Cold Stores
- Fueling
- Fishing Gears
- Offshore Fishing Equipment
(MARD) the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development states that in the future these logistics facilities will be able to transition into high-tech international fishing ports. Facilitating the needs for both exports and imports within Vietnam.
These new logistic centres will be located in the following provinces -

- Hai Phong Province - Tonkin Gulf fishing grounds
- Da Nang Province - East Sea & Paracel Islands fishing grounds.
- Khanh Hoa - South Central Coast & Spratley Island
- Ba Ria-Vung Tau - South-East region
- Kien Giang - South Western
- Can Tho - Mekong River Delta
Until 2015 (MARD) will be looking for investments in order to fund and finance the future building of these national fishery logistics centres. Being funded through both private and state based entities. The building of these facilities will improve upon Vietnams annual market $700 million in seafood exports.
