The 'RapiDot Diagnostic Kit' is a new technology that is soon to be released, used specifically for the detection of white spot virus in shrimp. This new technology was developed by KVAFSU - also known as the 'Karnataka Veterinary, Animal and Fisheries Sciences University'. Virbac Animal Health Limited, Mumbai - a French company; will be receiving thistechnology for implementation on March 8th.

More than 272 million Alaskan salmon were caught in 2013, with 80 percent of the salmon caught being from the pink salmon species. Bringing in an approximate value of $691.1 million, acting as the primary form of economic sustainability for local Alaskan communities. These Salmon have a very high nutrition value - providing consumers with a wide range of omega-3s, potassium, phosphorus and protein.
