Asian-Pacific Aquaculture 2018 (APA18) is the mega event on Aquaculture in the Asian Pacific Region

The international conference and tradeshow, organized by the World Aquaculture Society, and hosted by the National Taiwan Ocean University will be held at the Taipei International Convention Centre (TICC) on April 23-26 2018, Taipei Taiwan.

Abstract Submission for APA18
Deadline January 31, 2018 Asian-Pacific Aquaculture 2018 would like to encourage everyone to submit a high quality abstract for both oral and poster presentations. Authors are strongly encouraged to consider poster presentations as poster sessions are an integral part of the program.

Papers submitted for “oral presentation only” may not be accepted as oral presentations due to the limited number of available time slots. All abstracts must be in English - the official language of the conference. Each oral presenter shall be entitled to no more than 15 minutes for a presentation, plus 5 minutes for questions.

Authors of studies involving proprietary products or formulations should present this information in workshops or the trade show. Oral presentations should use Power Point. Overhead and slide projectors and video players will not be available or allowed.

Please submit your abstract as early as possible before the deadline on January 31, 2018.

Exhibition
The exhibition will include three days of trade show. The exhibition are an excellent opportunity to network and establish partnerships and exchange between local and foreign associations, suppliers and technology companies. Display booths are currently on sale and 50% of the booths have already been sold!

Farm Tour
During the APA 18 there will be two farm tours for you to choose, both on April 28, 2018.

Tour 1: West of Taipei, we will visit Koi Farm, Fisheries Research and Lukang Old Street.
• Sing Chang Koi Farm: the farm stretches over an area of three hectares and with over 100,000 amazing koi, it represents Taiwan Koi aquaculture as an industry leading model
• Fisheries Research Institute (FRI) – Freshwater Aquaculture Research Center. This center merges the Lukang branch station and Chupei branch station.
• Lukang Old Street is famed for its well-preserved cultural and historical heritages, as well as old-time flavors that attract a large number of both local and international visitors.

Tour 2: East of Taipei, we will visit National Museum of Marine Science & Technology (NMMST), National Taiwan Ocean University and King Car Group – Shrimp farm.
• National Museum of Marine Science & Technology: The NMMST is the world's first exhibition hall to showcase the diverse fields of marine science, technology, ecology, culture, and environmental affairs, in order to help enhance public knowledge and consciousness about the sea.
• National Taiwan Ocean University – G.L. aqua centre
• KING CAR GROUP Company - Shrimp Farm since December 2004.
• Kavalan Whisky: Established in 2005, Kavalan is Taiwan’s first whisky maker and the nation’s only family-owned whisky distillery.
