Purpose
- Ensure the ocean business community is aware of the emerging ocean policy, planning and regulatory developments that will affect private sector activities and investments.
- Outline the risks and opportunities that these new developments create. • Present an update on WOC progress and programs to address these emerging developments and their implications for responsible ocean companies.
- Introduce companies and organisations interested in ocean sustainable development to the WOC, a unique, global, multi-industry leadership alliance, and develop opportunities for collaboration with other responsible ocean businesses.
- Brief participants on the 5th WOC Sustainable Ocean Summit (SOS), Halifax, 29 Nov-1 Dec 2017.
Ocean Business Community are cordially invited
- Direct ocean users (e.g. shipping, fishing, aquaculture, offshore oil and gas, offshore renewables, submarine cables, ports, coastal construction/engineering, etc.)
- Associated industries (e.g. shipbuilding, telecommunications, fuels, technology developers, data collection and management, environmental services, etc.)
- Legal, finance, investment, insurance, and other ‘enabling’ sectors.
