Mr Kearns will give three presentations:
Preconditioning technology for aqua feeds: A review of current and new developments in the area of preconditioning. High Intensity Preconditioning for advanced aquatic feeds where use of elevated levels of marine or terrestrial animal waste streams are pumped in at high moisture levels directly into the formula. High Shear Conditioning for low usage of waste streams with advanced single shafted preconditioners with a new twist.
Single and twin screw extruders and their application in aquafeeds: A review of the time-tested single screw extruders and discussions on developments with regards to use of Twin Screw Extruders in hard to product small diameter ranges as well as machines designed for extreme high animal and terrestrial waste inclusion while making a final pellet.
Differences in making fresh water and marine feeds: There are obvious similarities as well as differences as extrusion cooking allow for all aspects of aquatic feed production. A review of some unique possibilities for marine fish feed production point out what can be done in this area."
