Scottish farmed salmon production has reached its highest output since 2003.
In 2012, the country produced 162,223 tonnes, an increase of 2.7 percent on the previous year.
The increased production is a £537 million boost for the Scottish economy.

WorldFish organised the filed level linkage event under the USAID funded Cereal Systems Initiative for South Asia in Bangladesh (CSISA-BD) Project at the fish farm of farmer Mizanur Rahman in village Tulshipur under Mithapukur upazila, Bangladesh.
Some 105 male and female farmers of the area, tilapia and carp fish farmers, owners of fish nurseries and hatcheries, fertiliser traders, lead farmers, mega feed dealers, local public representatives, officials and experts of the CSISA-BD team and elite attended. Read more...
